NYSPM&R Presents Knee Ultrasound Workshop

TARGET AUDIENCE: This is a beginner to intermediate musculoskeletal ultrasound course (MSK-US) focusing on scanning and injection techniques. It is designed for residents, fellows, interested medical students, and practicing physicians.
OBJECTIVES: The workshop objectives include. (1) To review the technical features diagnostic ultrasound and how to conduct a knee study, (2) Learn what normal and abnormal structures look like under MSK-US including joints, tendons, ligaments and bones, and (3) Obtain hands-on scanning practice and learn standardized scanning protocols.
8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Registration
9:00 AM – 11:45 AM: Lecture with live demonstration and hands-on practice including ultrasound overview, knee US anatomy and findings of common pathologies. Participants will be divided into groups with 1:1 hands-on training with preceptors.
11:45 PM – 12:00 PM: Wrap-up/Discussion
COST: $30 (for active NYSPMR members) and $150 (for non-members).

DIRECTIONS: Enter via 210th St, take the stairs or elevator to the 1st floor, walk towards the other end of the hospital & make a left after the Chase ATM machines to enter the Grand Hall (Tishman Learning Center). A parking lot is available on Rochambeau Avenue.
