Course Faculty: Leroy Lindsay, MD, Assistant Professor, Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine, New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Lindsay received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College. He obtained his M.D. from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers-NJMS/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, finishing his training in 2014. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine and Neurorehabilitation at Georgetown University/MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital.

TARGET AUDIENCE: This is a hands-on spasticity management course focusing on the injection of neurotoxins for the treatment of spasticity techniques. It is designed for beginner to intermediate level attending physicians, residents and fellows.
OBJECTIVES: The workshop objectives include:
- Review the anatomy and physiology behind spasticity as it presents in a wide range of conditions
- Describe the clinical features of spasticity and how to recognize candidates for chemical neurolysis
- Describe the mechanism by which neurotoxins work
- Learn to properly dose and reconstite toxin
- Review proper injection techniques and common pitfalls
COST: $30 (for active NYSPMR members) and $150 (for non-members).
